Ryan Maguhn Nominated as Liberal Candidate in Yellowhead
HINTON, AB – Members of the Yellowhead Federal Liberal Association met Friday, December 19 and nominated Ryan Maguhn to once more carry the Liberal Party of Canada banner in Yellowhead in the next general election.
Ryan was born and raised in Hinton, Alberta, where he lives with his wife Nicole and their four year old son Marek. A strong believer in community service, he entered municipal politics in 2012 when he successfully ran for city council in the Hinton by-election. He was subsequently re-elected in 2013. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a teaching certificate from Bemidji State University in Minnesota.
Welcoming his nomination, Ryan stated, “I am thrilled to again represent the Liberal Party of Canada in Yellowhead. I am proud of the significant gains we made in the recent by-election, where we increased our vote seven-fold and posted our best result in over two decades. I am excited to continue reaching out to Albertans in Yellowhead, including those in newly added communities. I look forward to working with them to ensure we send a strong representative for Yellowhead to Ottawa in 2015.”
